We offer excellent, highly qualified climbing instructors in a friendly, welcoming, and encouraging environment. We not only teach climbing and offer excellent facilities and programs, but we want to be a place where you can connect with other climbers, develop friendships, and improve your climbing skills.
Participant Agreement
Sportrock's participant agreement has changed. Therefore all members and customers are required to fill out the new participant agreement. You can download the new agreement HERE! Even if you have already filled out a waiver prior to July 1st 2008 you will still need to fill out a new Participant Agreement before you are allowed to enter the facility.
*Important*
All particpants under the age of 18 must have a Participant Agreement signed by THEIR PARENT. The agreement must be completed correctly and in its entirity. Anyone under the age of 18 that does not have a complete and correct Participant Agreement filled out will NOT BE ALLOWED TO CLIMB. We DO NOT accept faxed agreements. HERA is Back!
Registration for Climb4Life DC is open! Event runs March 13 - March 21.
The HERA Climb4Life is open to women, men and children of all ages. No climbing or yoga experience is necessary (see special event schedule below). Registration, is open at Sportrock's Hera Page, and is only $30 per person which includes a goodie bag, clinics with professional climbers, a slide show presentation hosted by special guest pro-climber, discounts on classes and memberships at Sportrock Climbing Centers and REI Outdoor School, unlimited yoga at Dancing Mind Yoga and four days of free climbing at Sportrock Climbing Centers (two days per location.) All discounted and free activities are available March 14 - 21, 2010.

Our policy has changed! We will no longer follow the status of the Federal Government.
For the latest updates on our hours during inclement weather, please check our website or call the Alexandria or Sterling facility. Updates will also be posted on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
ABS Citizens Comp
We would like to thank everyone that came out to watch and climb in the ABS Season 11 National Championship. It was an amazing event that brought the greatest climbers from around our country to climb at Sportrock. We are proud to have had the opportunity to host this event and Sportrock hopes that everyone had as great a time as we did. Nationals results will be posted on the ABS website for you to catch up on the action that took place.
Also thank you to everyone that came out to our Sterling location to compete in the Citizen's Competition. The problems were difficult but they were no match for the climbers that came out. Results from the Citizen's Competition are posted below. We hope as well that everyone travelling from out of town will get a chance to see the sites of our Nation's capital.
