Membership Policies

General Policies

  • The member month for all memberships is the 1st - 30th.
  • Accounts are invoiced on the 1st of the month.
  • Member rates are in no way related to actual facility usage.
  • Family memberships are limited to direct family members only (spouses, children and siblings) living at the same address.
  • Billed monthly (recurring) memberships do not cancel automatically, they continue forever.
  • Please see cancellation policy for further information.
  • All PREPAID memberships do cancel automatically once their end date has been reached.

Cancellation

  • Memberships that are billed monthly (recurring) do not cancel automatically.
  • After the initial obligation date has been reached, the contract continues on a month to month basis, indefinitely. 
  • All cancellation requests must be completed by sending an email to Suzanne@sportrock.com or Info@sportrock.comTelephone, in person, and fax requests are not accepted.
  • Requests must be submitted prior to the 1st of the month in which you wish to cancel.
  • Any request received after the 1st will be processed at the next billing cycle. 
  • Any unpaid dues or indebtedness must be paid in full prior to cancellation.
  • Members still under their initial contract obligation must provide 30 days notice.
  • Terminating prior to the end of an initial contract term will result in an earl termination fee of 1/2 the remaining balance.
  • The early termination fee may be avoided if documentation is provided as evidence of moving more than 40 miles from a Sportrock facility or medical condition.

 

Change of Membership Type

  • All requests to alter a membership must be emailed directly to Suzanne@sportrock.com or Info@sportrock.com. Telephone, in person, and fax requests are not accepted.
  • Some changes require additional processing and membership fees which must be paid in full in advance.
  • A corresponding increase or decrease in monthly dues will be made accordingly and discussed in the confirmation response.

 

Freeze Policy

Members that are billed monthly (recurring):

  • All freeze requests must be emailed directly to Suzanne@sportrock.com or Info@sportrock.comTelephone, in person, and fax requests are not accepted.
  • Requests must be emailed prior to the 1st of the month for which you are requesting.
  • Each membership may be frozen for a maximum of 3 months per calendar year. Only full months (1st - 30th) can be frozen.
  • Frozen months do not need to be consecutive.
  • If you freeze during your initial contract, your obligation date will extend one month per each month frozen.
  • A $5 freeze fee will be charged each month the account is frozen in lieu of the normal monthly rate.
  • The membership and normal monthly billing will automatically reactivate when the freeze period ends. 
  • Freeze policy may be applied for any reason – vacation, work, travel, military, school, injury, etc.


Prepaid 6 and 12 month members:

  • All freeze requests must be emailed directly to Suzanne@sportrock.com or Info@sportrock.com. Telephone, in person, and fax requests are not accepted.
  • Requests must be emailed prior to the 1st of the month for which you are requesting.
  • Each membership may be frozen for a maximum of 3 months per contract period. Only full months (1st - 30th) can be frozen.
  • Frozen months do not need to be consecutive.
  • The contract end date will extend one month per each month frozen.
  • There is no charge for prepaid membership freezes.
  • The membership will automatically reactivate once the freeze period ends.

Accepted Forms of Notice

  • Members may notify Sportrock of cancellation, freeze, or other membership changes by emailing Suzanne@sportrock.com or Info@sportrock.com.
  • All requests will receive a confirmation response regarding the action taken on the account and/or if any additional information is required. 
  • IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE IN 72 HOURS, SPORTROCK HAS NOT RECEIVED YOUR REQUEST. Please resend your request. 
  • SPORTROCK DOES NOT ACCEPT FAXES, IN PERSON OR TELEPHONE CALLS FOR CANCELLATION, FREEZES, OR CHANGES.
