Bury the Dragon - Climb4Life + HERA
Of all the stickers on her helmet, the one that puzzled me read, “Bury The Dragon.” Waiting for our turn to climb, I tapped her shoulder. A petite dark-haired woman in her early thirties turned to face me and smiled.
“Hi! I’m Samantha.”
“I’m Judy. Hey, what’s “Bury The Dragon?”
“I’ll tell you about it tonight,” she grinned, and reached for the rope to tie in.

“I swear this is the last year we are doing this!” That was our team name in 2014 for the 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell. My partner, Chris Stoehrmann, and I really thought it would be our last year. It was going to be Chris's fifth year competing, and my fourth out of the last five years. I missed out in 2012 because my wife and I were road tripping overseas. It took Chris a little while, but he finally forgave me for missing out that year and took me back as his partner in 2013.
